Got a call from a number supposedly based in Liverpool, but the voice was all stiff and robotic - sounded like a recording. It was some HMRC scam, telling me my account had fraud and to press 1 immediately. Then they threatened that if I didn’t press 1, I’d be arrested and a warrant would be out for me soon. Yeah right, as if! Even if it was really HMRC (which it definitely wasn’t), they’d already know my name and account info, so no way would they call like that.
