Got a call from a bot pretending to be HMRC, saying I’d done some dodgy tax stuff and if I didn’t press 1, they’d send a warrant and arrest me “right away.” I told them hearing about handcuffs and being nicked was strangely exciting and that I’d just make a cuppa for the cops while they showed up “right away.” After that, the line went dead. Tried ringing the number back but it’s either blocked or set so it only makes outgoing calls.
