An individual with a foreign accent rang up and requested to speak to me directly by name. When I answered, they abruptly disconnected the call. It’s quite probable that this is a scammer trying to gather personal details about me and my phone number. Quite unsettling, I must say!

Je me suis fait appeler à 09h26, un mercredi, le 9 janvier, par une dame qui parlait anglais. C’était un message préenregistré dans lequel elle me conseillait de presser la touche 1. Bien sûr, je n’ai pas obtempéré ! Elle m’assurait que trois transactions non autorisées avaient été effectuées avec ma carte de crédit. C'était complètement absurde.

I didn’t pick up. If a number is unfamiliar to me, I usually just ignore it and do a quick search on Google to see if anyone else has reported a call from that number.
