Got a call saying I’d been in a car crash, they even had my name which makes me think they’ve gotten my details from some dodgy source. I used to be with a firm like that and it’s usually not above board. What they try and do is push you to make a claim for a so-called ‘category C minor discomfort payout’ which is totally made-up. If you haven’t actually been hurt and don’t have any evidence, don’t get roped into claiming anything.

Don't ever share your personal info with them. They say they're with the "British Legal Assistance" but I've had calls from loads of different Liverpool numbers before, all saying they're from the "National Claims Helpline." It's a sketchy scam where they try to trick you into giving away loads of details by telling you you're owed compensation for an accident that "wasn't your fault," then they start asking all sorts of questions. Proper worrying stuff.
