Got a call from a really cheerful bloke with an English accent, claiming I was ringing about housing repairs. As soon as I mentioned I wasn’t, he just cut off. Seems like some kind of automated thing that drops the call if it hears "no".

Totally feels like a scam to me.

They called me but I didn’t answer, no idea who it was.

This really worried me. As soon as I picked up, the guy said all bright and friendly: Hello, how's it going?
Me: Sorry, who is this?
Him: I'm Mike, ringing about the issues you mentioned with your property.
Me: You must have dialled the wrong number. (I ended the call)

That overly happy tone seems designed to draw you in before you get a chance to question it.

Got a call from someone pretending to be the Housing Association about fixing my house. It was one of those automated scam calls. The second I said no, the robot voice just ended the call straight away.

I dunno if it was a joke or what but it really wasn’t amusing at all. As soon as I answered, the person on the other end just began cursing at me out of nowhere and then hung up.

Sounds like most of these are from an Indian call centre and probably scams. I reckon that last review might’ve been posted by someone from there too. Just be careful out there!

Got a call from a mobile number, with some robotic voice claiming the National Crime Agency was freezing my NI records... totally fake. Ended the call straight away.
