Pretty obvious it was another dodgy call. I only noticed it when I looked at my phone history after finishing work. Vodafone had already blocked it without me having to do anything, which was a bit of a relief. At least it shows they're trying to handle these annoying pests somehow.

I received a call from a group identifying themselves as the UK Habits, and they wanted me to partake in a brief survey. I politely declined their request, but they persisted in ringing me repeatedly. Eventually, I had no choice but to block the number altogether.

got a call from this number 0151 456 0837 today 17/7/22 at 3.29pm. the person actually said my name but when I asked who it was, they just disconnected. bit odd.

No clue who this was. The bloke was proper hard to understand, loads of noise in the background. From what I caught, he said something about a survey on brands but then said it was just one question or something like that. Then suddenly he yelled out my address and kept asking “Is that right? Right?”. I didn’t say yes, instead I asked what the call was for, but then he just kept yelling more questions at me so I slammed the phone down.

Got a call earlier from this number, someone saying they were from UK Habit or something like that. The person had a really thick Indian accent, so I struggled to understand most of it. Strange thing was, they knew my name and where I live, then started asking how old I am. When I told them I wasn’t looking to buy anything, they got pretty rude, swearing at me before suddenly ending the call.

Got a call from someone saying it was a survey about what brands folks use locally, but really they just wanted me to verify my age group, address, and email. They acted like they already had all my info, but I told them it was all incorrect, even though it clearly wasn’t. Felt dodgy to me, like a scam. Got a call from some bloke asking for my name and where I lived. I asked who he was and why he was calling. Then he goes, "Are you deaf or something?" I just stayed silent after that, probably gave him the impression I was deaf. Ended the call pretty quick after that.

Totally get how annoying these calls are. This one showed up with a Liverpool area code but it was obvious the number was hidden. I’ve set my iPhone to silent for unknown callers now. Anyone who really wants to reach me can just leave a voicemail.

I keep getting calls from people pretending to be all sorts of firms, but it’s just scammers trying to get my info. I reckon I get about four dodgy calls daily. I used to pick up, but then I noticed they were giving my number to other scam groups to trick me further. When I told them to leave me alone, they just told me to get lost. Now, I just ignore unknown numbers and check this website first to find out who’s ringing.

If you look at the two comments below this, you’ll find simple steps to put an end to these scam calls. Every day, loads of folks in the UK get texts or calls from scammers, but if we all took action, the police and government would have to take notice and act. Don’t just hope someone else will do it - it honestly doesn’t take much time at all. I’ve bookmarked the ‘Action Fraud’ website and even sent an email to my MP, who gave a rather ‘interesting’ reply. But it’s pointless if only a few of us get involved.
