I managed to cut off this unsolicited call rather swiftly. The voice on the other end was rather unsettling, inquiring if they could chat with the owner of the business or a manager. When I informed him that I was indeed the owner, he bizarrely asked the same thing all over again. At that juncture, I thought it best to hang up.

kept ringing without me picking up, and once I did, it just hung up. maybe they thought I was too sharp or something, not some frail old person to fool. definitely a scammer, I'd suggest blocking this number.

Somebody rang me pretending they worked for Citizens Advice. They said they'd got info about me owing money, which isn't true - I only have a credit card, nothing else. When I told them I actually work for CAB (which I don’t), they just cut the call. Very suspicious!

He keeps asking for a mechanic or a manager, so I say, "Yeah, that's me, what do you need?" He just keeps going on about needing to talk to one of them. I try again, "You’re speaking to the right person, how can I assist?" He just repeats himself like he didn't get it. In the end, I just told him to stop wasting my time and hung up.
