Some bloke rang up saying he had a cheque waiting for me from a personal injury claim. We had a decent natter for a bit, but then he suddenly yelled, "Oh, so you're not interested in this f***ing cash then?" and just hung up on me. Quite the odd call, haha!

I answered a call from a number claiming to be related to traffic control, but they never gave a proper company name. When I asked what they needed, they rudely told me to buzz off and hung up. Best to just block and forget about this one.

Received a call from this number earlier. At first, a robot picked up, so I asked to speak to someone real. Eventually, a guy came on and I told him the robot was glitching. He then asked if I had any issues with my house. I said yes, the foundations are sinking. Next, he asked if I’m a robot! I laughed and said no, I’m totally human. When I asked why he was interested in my house problems and what help he could offer, he just said goodbye and hung up. My phone flagged it as a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.

This number rang me about some damp issues in my home, something I’d already told my builder about. At first I reckoned it might be legit, but the robotic voice at the start set off my alarm bells. When I confirmed there was a damp problem, they put me through to a real person. The guy started asking a few questions about the damp, then wanted to know if I was a council tenant or a private renter. I told him I wasn’t a tenant at all. Then he asked if I owned the place, I said yes, and suddenly he just ended the call. What kind of scam is this supposed to be?!

I got a call from a housing repairs firm, they were telling me about cracks and stuff that supposedly needed fixing on my house. I told them I’d checked and there was nothing wrong, then they just ended the call straight away.

On 11 March 2022, at around 6.30pm, I got a call from 0151 456 0661. It was some automated voice asking how I was. When I replied I was fine, a woman named Emma said she was checking if I’d reported any issues with damage or housing repairs. I told her no, and she thanked me before hanging up. I reckon if I’d said yes, it might have gone to a live person or something. I tried ringing the number back but it just dropped the call. After having a quick look online, I found out what this number was about. Just thought I’d warn anyone else who gets a call from it!

This is a strange one - the caller first asks "How are you today?" then just goes quiet. They repeat the same question again, which was weird enough. Then apparently it's some sort of property helpline or advisor I never reached out to, checking if I’ve got cracks or damp in the house, or something like that. I chose not to reply.

Got a call about an accident I supposedly had, asked why I hadn’t returned their call. I said I wasn’t involved in any accident and then they asked if I was a passenger. Told them I’m tired of these calls and work for an insurance firm myself. When I mentioned the company’s name, she replied it was one of the worst insurance companies and said she’d worked there for 25 years, “proud” she claimed. Honestly, she was so rude and clueless, showed zero customer service. Just another call centre wasting time - steer clear of this number!
