I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said her name was Sharon. She claimed to be from BT or Virgin or Sky, something like that, and said she was calling about blocking some nuisance calls. I waited for her to explain what info she needed but she just kept saying the same stuff over and over. Honestly, these scam teams really need better training! I told her to email me the details because her accent was hard to follow. Then, out of nowhere, she just hung up. What a shocker!

I’m from the Chichester area and just got a call from someone called ‘Steve’. He asked if I’m still getting loads of annoying marketing calls. I said yeah, even yours. He kept saying he wasn’t trying to sell anything but was offering help with blocking those calls. When I told him that included his calls too, he just hung up on me.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was with BT about blocking calls and said he wanted to send me a new phone. I told him if he already had my info he should just go ahead and send it, then ended the call. Didn’t share any personal info since I never give that out to strangers ringing me up.

My dad, who's quite old and already uses the official BT call blocker, got multiple calls from this number but luckily, the BT device stopped them all. Dad never even answered. Out of curiosity, I called the number back, but it just kept ringing without anyone picking up. So, I went ahead and blocked the number on his phone for good. Later, I came across the reviews on this site and they pretty much confirmed my guess that it was some kind of scam.

My elderly dad, who already uses the legit BT call blocker, was getting loads of calls from this number. Luckily, the blocker did its job and stopped them ringing through. Dad never actually answered any of the calls. Out of curiosity, I rang the number myself but it just kept going to voicemail, no answer at all. After that, I made sure to block the number entirely on Dad’s phone. Later, after reading reviews on this website, it was obvious this was nothing but a scam call trying to get through.

On 10th March 2022, I got a call from these people claiming they were working to prevent scams. They began asking some basic questions, trying really hard to hide the fact they themselves were scammers. When I wouldn’t give out my card information, they just ended the call. Later, I rang them back and they said they were a firm that assists with energy bills, claiming to be in Orpington. But actually, the business is located in Liverpool, and all the voices sounded foreign too.
