Got a call from an automated voice claiming there were two BACS payments taken from my account - one for £1000 and another for £300 supposedly to Amazon. They said it might be fraud but never mentioned which bank they were representing. I just ended the call right away.

They rang me on the 24th of Jan, I picked up but they just ended the call immediately. I've gone ahead and blocked the number so they won’t be able to contact me anymore.

Got a call from someone pushing Apple and Samsung phones. I asked what network they were with, but they got it wrong. Then I joked about wanting a Blackberry and the bloke got really rude, calling me an old sod and swearing up a storm. I just kept him talking, asking about the deals, but that only made him yell and curse even more. Definitely a scam, watch out! #scam

When I asked who they were with, they said "affordable mobiles," which sounded different from what others have mentioned. Seems like a fishy outfit with lots of fake names. They kept calling me ma'am and wanted to know which phone I use. Told them to take my number off their list, but I bet these shady firms haven’t got a clue about GDPR at all.
