Got a call on a super loud line, the person said it was credit financial services or something like that. I just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Got a call from some firm claiming they’re doing research. I wasn’t sure who they were, so I asked if they wanted me to answer some questions about UK life. When I asked who was behind the study, the guy just said he had no idea since he’s just an employee there. I told them I wasn’t comfortable helping without knowing where my info would go or what it’d be used for. They said market research isn't blocked by the TPS, so I should’ve known that’s why I still get calls like this.

Had a chap ring me up claiming I had some unpaid debts! To be honest, I don't owe a penny to anyone, but it got me thinking - if an elderly person had received that call, it might really unsettle them. What a bunch of numpties!

The same chap who couldn’t quite manage to pronounce my name correctly claimed that I had some debts outstanding, which isn’t true at all. He was quite courteous and ended the call without any fuss. It’s just a shame that the world feels so precarious these days; it’s all rather dodgy and feels a bit like fraud, if you ask me.
