Got a call about diesel emissions compensation, told them twice I'm not into it and then they just ended the call abruptly.

On the 12th of January 2006, I got two calls pretty close together, one from 0151 453 6274 and then another from 0151 453 6443. The second one popped up as a scam on my phone. I didn’t pick up either time and there were no voicemails left. Both numbers seem to be based in Liverpool. I looked them up here and it appears they’re connected to some sort of Diesel scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, offering a discount on my plan. Oh, I can relate to that! It's so infuriating when I'm trying to catch some z's and the phone starts ringing incessantly. The callers have such thick accents, I can barely make out what they’re saying, so I often just nod along with a vague "yes" or "right". But then, when they ask for a code, it sets off alarm bells in my head. I can't shake the feeling they're up to no good. Once I push back, their tone shifts dramatically, and suddenly they're not so friendly anymore! It’s truly exasperating, isn’t it?

I had a rather peculiar phone call from this number. The chap on the line claimed to be representing a 3G network and was attempting to entice me with a new contract. Curiously, he inquired about my current payments. I pointed out that if he truly were calling from the same network, he ought to have that information at his fingertips. However, he stated that, due to some departmental policies, he couldn't access those specific details. Though I refrained from divulging any personal info, we’ve had a few exchanges now. Quite the odd situation, wouldn’t you agree?
