Finally put a stop to this bothersome caller for good!

It had the distinct vibe of a bustling call centre. Clearly, they’re operating several lines simultaneously. Seems like a gang of fraudsters pretending to be Curry's PC World.

So I just got a text from O2 with some sort of verification code, and it also said if anyone rings asking for that code, it’s a scam and definitely not O2. No sooner had I read that than this number phoned me twice in a row. Putting that together with what others have said about them pretending to be all sorts of companies, I’m convinced it’s a scam. It seems like these scammers somehow find out when people get these codes and then try to exploit it straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with o2, I didn’t share any info with them. Then the very next day I get alerts saying that someone tried to set up contracts with o2 and ee using my name. I’ve reported everything to action fraud and both networks. Definitely scammers, no doubt about it.

They keep switching numbers so I've had to block them over and over again.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Currys or PC World, offering a huge 40% discount on a mobile contract. Pretty sure Currys doesn't even deal with phone contracts, so seemed a bit dodgy to me. Definitely felt like a scam.

Got a call from what sounded like a call centre with loads of background noise, some bloke claiming to be from O2 offering me 40% off my next bill. I told them I don’t even have an O2 contract, but they just kept going on. In the end, I just ended the call.
