I received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from the Promotions Department at EE, insisting they could slash my phone bill by a whopping 40%. It all seemed rather fishy, especially since I don’t even have an account with EE! It felt like a sneaky ploy to pilfer my bank details under false pretences. What a cheek!

Said they were from EE, trying to get me to sign up for some phone plan deal. As soon as I said no to handing over my card info, they just ended the call.

Got a text with a one-off code saying it was from O2, then the same number rang me pretending to be them. Total scam, watch out and block it!
