Someone pretending to be from O2 called me, saying they wanted to offer a 50% discount on my current plan. I played along, acting like an O2 customer. She refused to confirm the name they had on file for me, which was suspicious. She mentioned I’d get a couple of texts, starting with a security one. Just as she was about to send it, she sighed and hung up. I think she realised my number isn’t with O2 after all. I was prepared to report the message to the fraud team on 7726, but looks like I won’t get the chance now. Proper scammers, honestly.
