I received a rather dubious phone call earlier today from a company claiming to be "ESE (Electrical Safety Engineering)." They informed me that, according to some supposed "licence solar data," my system was no longer under warranty and required replacement.

The caller stated they were from a call centre named "BL Group," representing ESE. However, when I requested their contact information, they provided me with an 0800 number that, unsurprisingly, didn’t connect.

After a quick check with 1471, I discovered the number that rang me was 02037577340.

I had a dreadful experience with eso services. My panel broke down and they just left me hanging, no help at all. They kept charging me £19.99 every month for a while. Eventually, I stopped the direct debit, and they never bothered to contact me or even ask why I cancelled. Complete rip-off!

I got a call from this firm and I’m baffled how they got hold of my solar details, that stuff’s meant to be confidential! I’m really shocked. Today, I received a rather dubious call from someone representing a firm they referred to as E.S.E. (Electrical Safety Engineering). They were all about my solar panel warranty being up and tried to entice me with offers for extra warranty plans, including complimentary safety inspections, meter readings, and repairs - though, unsurprisingly, there'd be a price tag attached! It's nothing but a con. When I attempted to return their call using the number they provided, I was greeted with a 1471 message stating, "we do not have the number." Quite bizarre, wouldn't you agree?

A US firm has been ringing up folks with solar panels trying to push some "optimisation" gadget for £900 that you really dont need. They’re also offering service plans at £20 monthly, which may not seem heaps but over five years it's £1200 - enough to cover two new inverters for most home setups!

I got this number from Ese Services Ltd, and I think it's listed on their website too. I called them yesterday to follow up about some paperwork they said they’d send me, and they said it was posted a few days ago. I asked if they could email it instead, and they promised I'd get an email within a few hours. But so far, I haven’t received anything - no post, no email. So I tried calling again today (Saturday), but the number just redirected me to a BT call centre where nobody could really help. Does anyone know if this number is legit or if it might be dodgy? Any advice would be great.

So, I got a call out of the blue from some company called Ese Services based in Liverpool. The person on the line was pretty nice and was telling me about this insurance deal for my solar panels. I was a bit wary at first, but after getting a few letters from them and looking through their website, I felt okay about going ahead with it. I even rang them later to ask a few questions, and they were really helpful and gave me all the info I needed.

I got a call from someone saying they'd charge me £20 a month to maintain my solar panels because supposedly my warranty had expired. Problem is, my guarantee is still valid. When I contacted them again, their offer did sound somewhat sensible. I never shared any of my banking info though.

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming they would be debiting £20 a month from my bank for solar panel servicing, now that my warranty has supposedly expired. The thing is, my warranty is still very much valid.
