Got a call from some bloke named Michael, claiming to be from the housing disrepair team. Told him to remove me from their list, then he went on rambling in a language I couldn’t even understand. Hope he’s stuck messing about on the motorway near his little dodgy village. Honestly, his mum should’ve thought twice before having him.

I received a call regarding some alleged disrepair issues at a property where I’m residing, though technically I’m not the official tenant. Being rather tenacious and, to be frank, a bit of a nuisance to these scammers, I decided to return the call. That led me to a place called Business Source International. The prompts guided me to hit 1 if I wanted to opt out, or I could remain on the line for an agent. Pressing 1 only led to the same recorded message, and if I chose to hold, the call simply disconnected. It's clear to me that this is definitely a scam!

Got a call from some "Housing Disrepair Team" all the way from abroad. The first time, I was just blasting my old boom box and he hung up after about 50 seconds. Then, couple hours later, he called back, I answered with a simple hi, he said hi back, I said hi again and bam, he hung up after just 11 seconds. This was the 2nd and 3rd time this dodgy number called me. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman saying she was with the council's housing repair team. Asked her to tell me who my landlord was, then she just cut me off. Pretty clear that it was a scam.

I attempted to inform my mother that she was entitled to a refund from D&G insurance. They requested her bank card information.
About ten minutes later, they called back to give it another go. Fortunately, she cottoned on to the fact it was a con and ended the call the first time round, then promptly blocked the number on the second attempt.

Got a call from someone saying they were checking up on a complaint about flooding or damp in a rental I supposedly made. I asked them to give me the address of the property if they really had any clue. She said it was handled by ‘a colleague’ before, and she didn’t have the info with her. Then I asked her straight up how she can live with herself trying to con people out of their cash. Told her to get a real job and stop being a lying, greedy ####, and managed to tell her to shove it before she hung up.

Got a call from a guy saying he was Jewish and wanted me to join the IDF, but I told him to buzz off since I don’t even live anywhere near there. He rang me back later pretending it was about housing or something, but I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a call at 9 in the morning from someone pretending to be Universal Credit, saying it was about a cost of living payment. They asked for my personal and bank details, but I told them I don’t actually claim Universal Credit. Guess what? They just hung up on me! Then I got another call at half past one from someone claiming to be HMRC. They said I’d overpaid tax and was owed a refund, and again asked for personal info and bank details. I said I don’t pay tax and they ended the call straight away! Seriously, can someone just block this number? Total scammers!

Received a call from this number - the caller knew my name! They claimed to be from the DWP, offering me a pile of universal credit. The accent was distinctly heavy Indian. I got calls from this number like 5 times yesterday. I picked up three of them. First was a lady asking about my bank for some pension credit and said a letter was on the way. Then a different woman called saying she was from the DWP and that they wanted to pay out universal credit. The last one was another woman, different again, telling me a payment had gone to someone in Africa and asked if I knew anything about it. All of them were fishing for my debit card info. Definitely watch out for this number, it seems dodgy.
