I’m registered with TPS, so this lot must be working off dodgy data that hasn’t been cleared. I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t even registered with the ICO. Honestly, steer well clear - sounds like a proper scam to me.

Let's be honest, this screams banking scam or a ploy to connect to an expensive number. Whatever you do, steer clear of pressing one, as all you’ll hear is that same annoying message on repeat. It’s vital to report such nonsense to gov.org\phishing, as well as the police's phishing platform and the Financial Conduct Authority. I got an automated call claiming I'd paid £900 and telling me to press one to cancel. It's obviously a scam, either fraud from a fake bank or one of those tricks to charge you loads by redirecting to a premium line. Don’t press anything, it just loops back to the same message. I’d suggest reporting it to the gov.uk phishing site, the police, and the financial watchdog. Today I picked up a phone that’s ex-directory here at my work, the number we use just for BT broadband as our main line runs through IP. The caller said he was from some energy company wanting to ask about the insulation in my loft, like checking if it’s thick enough or not. When I asked what address they had for me, he just wouldn’t say a word. Thing is, we’re based in an industrial unit, not a usual home! Then, out of nowhere, he just ended the call. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
