I’m seriously considering answering just to let them know they've crossed the line, as my number is registered on the telephone preference service - it’s a breach of the data protection regulations, after all. Whether it’ll actually make a difference remains to be seen, but I reckon it’s worth a shot. I strongly believe that authorities ought to put a greater focus on tracking down these scam callers, in hopes of curtailing the stream of such incessant interruptions. There are several other numbers that harass me daily as well, all of which I’ve chosen to ignore, but I’m utterly exasperated with this constant pestering!

Got a call again from 01514386589. Said they were from TRUSTED PROPERTY RESEARCH or something like that. They spoke at lightning speed. Seemed polite enough, just trying to make a living, but when I asked how they fund big jobs like a new roof, they couldn’t really explain. I reckon they’re pushing you to get a loan or some sort of finance. They asked if I “own my home” and if I’m “under 80” - those were the main things they wanted to know.

It's some building firm, maybe doing insulation, keeps ringing all the time. Tried adding my number to the TPS but they’re no help at all for stuff like this. You have to speak to them on the phone to try to sort it out, but they know this and just don’t share any details. Because of these calls, my landline’s become pretty useless unless you have caller ID and keep your phone with you to catch the number.
