They didn’t bother to say why they were ringing. When I picked up, I asked straight away what the call was about, and they went on about me being rude. Got a weird call from 01514386571 back in Oct 2019. The bloke had a strong Liverpool accent and oddly, he knew my name and number already. He said it was about a car accident I supposedly had 2 years ago. I told him I wasn't involved in any crash, then he just said he'd update my ‘file’ or something and hung up. The number does answer, but no company name is given and you get put on hold. Sounds like typical ambulance chasers to me?

I got a call from someone wanting to know if I was happy with a service after an accident. I told her I wasn’t sure what accident she was talking about. She said it was something from the last two years. Trying to get specifics, I asked for the date and she just kept saying "August." When I pressed for the exact date, she snapped that if I didn’t answer, she couldn’t close my file. I explained I had no way of knowing what date she meant. She just repeated August and asked again if I was satisfied. I pointed out they must have the details on record if they’re contacting me. Then she got quite rude, saying if I don’t cooperate, I’d keep getting calls. When I asked why she was being so unfriendly, she said it was because I was “difficult.” She even threatened to call me every 30 minutes, saying she hopes I enjoyed that. I’m definitely going to report them to the ICO for this.
