Got a call from someone claiming to be with British Gas, trying to verify some details with me. He kept saying he was legit, but when I asked for an account number, he couldn’t give me one. As soon as I mentioned I was recording the call, he ended it. Later, I called British Gas myself and they told me that number wasn’t theirs at all.
