Received a phone call from this number purporting to be someone from BT broadband regarding my Internet connection. I informed them that I wasn’t going to be taken in by their ruse and promptly hung up. After some digging, I discovered that the number is linked to the Rainhill Recreation Club in Prescott, which, amusingly enough, was shut at the time of the call (doesn’t open until 6pm). I’m not suggesting that this establishment is behind the dodgy scheme, but it certainly highlights the lengths these unscrupulous individuals will go to in order to swindle your hard-earned cash. It's clear that they have no affiliation with BT whatsoever.
