I keep getting calls from a woman with a South Asian accent saying she's from BT. I've had loads of calls like this one, so I’m a bit wary. Do you think this is legit or a scam?

i got a call saying i was owed a refund of more than £2500 and they asked me how i wanted it paid. i said by cheque and they said an agent would come round tomorrow. but once i started quizzing them, they said they couldn’t really hear me and said they'd ring back. they never did. i’ve never had anything to do with the high court, so this has got to be a scam.
