Got a call from this number, some bloke with a Welsh accent from Bond Property. I asked if he was about to pitch solar panels or new windows, he says no. So I asked what he wanted, and he goes, "it's alright, we only want customers who show a bit of enthusiasm," then just hung up on me. I was sure I sounded pretty keen!

Got a call out of the blue from Bond Property Investments saying it was just some info, but they were actually trying to reach a relative who has a different phone number. I was about to say "I think you’ve rung the wrong number" when they just cut me off. I would've told them I’m not interested anyway. I've blocked the number now.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from a motor insurance firm, asking about a car crash I supposedly had in the past year. I was like, "What accident?" and then he started yelling "Hello, hello" like he deaf or summat. I told him I could hear him just fine and to stop ringing me or I'd hang up.

I got a call from this number at about 4.20pm, someone wanted to know if I was happy with the work done on my car after a traffic accident in the past year. I asked them where this supposed accident happened. I dont remember any crash at all, and believe me, I’d remember if I had one! Of course, they quickly ended the call. Total scammers.

Just got a call from this number and it was honestly so frustrating. I told them straight up that I haven’t had any accident recently. I get their job's tough, I’m on the phone loads myself, but I’m not here to lie. Next thing, the bloke goes off on one, shouting at me about getting a ‘bluey Peter badge’, telling me to stop looking down my nose at him, and then he calls me a complete bell-end. All that, even though I’m registered with the TPS. What really freaks me out is that they already have all my info - name, address, phone number - and I feel powerless to stop it!!!

“Had you been in a car crash recently?” they asked. Mum told them cold calling was illegal and said she hadn’t driven (bit of a fib from us, but it usually throws them off). Proper companies normally get muddled when you say you don’t drive and then say they’ll remove you from their list. Mum said she knew they were scammers, but the woman just kept going like she hadn’t heard her. Mum even warned about calling the police for harassment and still the woman babbled on. The caller had a Liverpool accent, and I checked - the number is from Liverpool too.

Complete con artists. They were after either Mr or Mrs X, going on and on about an incident and claiming our information was handed over to them. Their names sounded all very posh and legit, like the Traffic Advisory Centre and the Motor Insurance Bureau. When I quizzed one of them about being a registered company, she agreed, so I told her I was on the telephone preference service and that if they dared to contact me again, I'd report them to the Information Commissioner's Office. She just laughed it off and then dropped the call.
