Got a call from a new sort of con, somehow they already knew I'd been away on holiday. I played along just to see what they were on about. They asked which country and the hotel's name, then claimed they’d done a health and safety inspection and supposedly found some poisoning there. Said I could make a claim. Total scam, but to be fair, not quite sure what their endgame was. They even tried to get my family's details. Blocked the number straight away.

This kind of unwanted call, especially pretending to be local, is really starting to wind me up big time.

Got a call from Millie about some accident claim, said I’d been in one in the past three years. I told her I’m actually blind and disabled, so that wasn’t right. She was fairly polite, but then no more than five minutes later, I get another call from a lady with a strong Liverpool accent who was really rude. Then as soon as I ended that call, another person phoned straight away. I told the second woman off proper, but I doubt they’ll stop ringing me anytime soon.

I received a call from someone wanting to chat with my dad. When I inquired who was on the line and the purpose of the call, they asked if they were speaking to his partner. I clarified that I was his daughter, as I was using my own phone. They then rather curtly mentioned it was none of my business and promptly disconnected.

I told her Nancy's not here and she said she’d call back later. I told her not to bother callin again ‘cos it’s my mobile and my mum won’t be usin it anytime soon. Then I asked where she got my number from and she snapped straight back, sayin “she gave it” (thinkin that’s my mum, Nancy). When I asked what Albany was, she just said, “None of your business. They call pretty much daily about the same time, but I picked up today and gave ’em a bit of a scouse reply, told ’em I wasn’t interested and not to bother calling back. We’ll wait and see if they stick to that! Honestly, just mess with the people who keep ringing; they’ll tire out eventually! Until the rules get stricter, might as well make a laugh out of it!

They ring me like 6 or 7 times a week, and every time I ask where they found my number they just reply with some rubbish answer. I get proper annoyed, tell them to "f***ing take it off your list" then hang up. Tonight I picked up, said the same, then blocked the number. But just 10 minutes later, another call came from the same number but with different last two digits. I answered and they hung up straight away. When I called back, some automated voice said it was major marketing. What a total pain this is.

Some woman rang me claiming she was from a firm called Albany?? She knew my name and said it was about a car accident claim that needed sorting out. I haven’t been part of any claim or accident for yonks, so I asked what insurance company she was talking about, but she just kept repeating nonsense and talked right over me before hanging up. I know there’s an Albany legal company in Liverpool but I’m certain it wasn’t them. It felt dodgy and like she was trying to trick me into giving info for some sort of sales pitch.

I received a call from this number at half past eleven on the 6th of January 2016. The caller claimed to be in touch with an insurance firm named Albany. They went on to mention a road incident I had been part of some time ago. At that moment, I decided to cut him off with a curt 'Goodbye'. He nearly managed to reciprocate with a farewell, but I wasn't interested in hearing any more, so I hung up the phone.

I got a call from a woman who already knew my name and somehow had my phone number. She mentioned a company, but the name was mumbo jumbo so i asked her again, still didn’t make sense. She said it was about a car accident that happened around two and a half years ago. I told her i’d never been in any accident.
