Got a call from this number about an accident I supposedly had. I pretended I wasn’t aware of it. They asked if any of my family might’ve been involved, and I said no, no one’s told me anything. Are they alright? Are they in hospital? Are they still alive? Then outta nowhere, the bloke started saying really inappropriate stuff, like if the accident had turned me on and if I’d ever had a scouser before? Asked if I could take one. I asked where exactly he thought I’d take one, and he replied "up in you" then just hung up on me. Proper weird and creepy.

Had a call earlier today from this number and was told by a young lady she was ringing on behalf of the Tenants Agency about some complaints I’d supposedly made regarding my property. When I spotted the Liverpool area code, but I’m based in London, I knew straightaway it was dodgy and wasn’t having any of it - told her to stop wasting my time and quickly ended the call. What really bugs me is how these lot get hold of our phone numbers. I’m a leaseholder myself and unfortunately tied in with a 'social housing association' who obviously have my info on file. With all the dodgy dealings these housing groups seem involved in, I wouldn’t put it past some of their own staff selling data on the side. The management keep shifting around, changing their fancy names to dodge their tarnished reputations - like when Circle became Clarion - but the shady business goes on just the same.

But when I asked them the address, it was a place I moved out of more than 2 years ago. I told her this and asked where she’d got my phone number from, and then she just hung up on me! Bit unsettling that someone can have your name, phone and an old address, especially when it seems like they might not be legit!

Initially, I hesitated to pick up due to the barrage of negative feedback I'd stumbled upon, but I inadvertently answered the call. My first thought was it might be some sort of sales pitch, as the representative took quite a while to engage with me. To my surprise, I later discovered that my information had been forwarded by the Citizens Advice Bureau. I've been residing in a housing association flat for around two and a half years, and during that time, I've contended with various issues like damp patches, a leaky roof, and significant gaps around the window frames. Despite my numerous complaints, neither the housing association nor the local council had made any substantial effort to resolve these problems. Feeling rather stuck and unsure of my next move, I received a call from these folks who kindly offered to come and assess the situation. Remarkably, just two weeks after their visit, I received a call from my housing association, and at long last, they're finally addressing all the necessary repairs and faults. It’s been a real turnaround!

They rang me and used my first name, saying they were from the Tenants helpline. The chat got pretty odd and confusing, so I just ended the call.

I wasn’t keen on picking up after seeing all the bad comments, but I ended up answering by mistake. At first it seemed like a telemarketer because the person on the other end took ages to speak. Turns out, Citizens Advice had passed my information on to them. I’ve been living in a housing association flat for about two and a half years, dealing with problems like damp, a leaking roof, and huge gaps around the windows, which the council and housing association ignored despite loads of complaints. I didn’t really know who else to contact. Then these people called, came over to check all the issues, and within a couple of weeks after their visit, my housing association finally got in touch. For a change, they’ve begun fixing everything properly now.

Got a call from a guy named Adam, sounded proper Scouse and super lazy with his accent. He was going on about me reporting some damp issue, which I definitely haven't. Smells like a scam to me, so I've blocked the number.

Totally with what others said, some geezer from Liverpool, slurring their company name all over the place, barely making sense. All I caught was Gary from a helpline and something about disrepair. No clue what was even wrong. I kept pausing, making him wait, asking him to say again what he wanted. Ended up just cutting him off.

I just got a ring from this number and some scouse woman with the sleepiest voice said she was callin’ about damp issues I'd supposedly reported. When I asked her to confirm the address, she gave me an old place I sold over a year ago! Total scam, stay clear!

Some guy with a weird Liverpool accent rang me on my mobile and somehow knew my name. Said something about damp being found at the place, like he thought I rented it. I told him I own the property, then he just ended the call. Definitely one of those annoying scam calls, so I’m gonna block the number.

I don’t know anyone from Liverpool so when this number rang me, I just didn't answer. After looking it up here, I’m glad I didn’t. Think I’ll wait and see if they call again before blocking. If they do, I’ll have a word with them to waste their time a bit and hopefully stop them bugging someone else who might fall for it. Absolute muppets those guys.

Just like before, I’m baffled how they got my number. When I asked for her name so I could check with my housing association, she told me I should’ve written it down earlier and then got all annoyed. She kept saying sorting out the damp was way more important than helping her clients get to the airport, and even mentioned I might be able to reclaim some rent. I seriously CAN’T STAND THESE BLOODY COLD CALLERS ??

This bloke had a Scouse accent, but we’re in a place where everyone talks with a southern accent. Our housing association couldn’t care less, just cut the call right off.

Got a call from some woman trying to help with mould or damp issues in council or housing association homes. I told her my place isn’t council-owned and it’s actually worth nearly £1.5 million. Then she cheekily asked if she could move in! When I asked where she’d got my details, she passed me onto a poor store manager in Liverpool who had no clue what was going on. Total waste of time if you ask me!

Got a lass with a Scouse accent asking for someone called Keith - not me, obviously. I told her she’d got the wrong number and she just dropped the call straight away. This isn’t the first time they’ve rung either, so I’ve put them on the block list.

What puzzles me more is 1). How do they even know your full name and who gave out that private info and 2). Why do they think you’ve already complained about damp? I get the whole cold call thing but what’s actually being done to put a stop to these pests? They must be traceable somehow - isn’t this technically a crime?

Someone rang me from this number (c151 375 9082) claiming to be from the Council regarding a damp issue I supposedly reported. I told her I never made any complaint about damp.
