Got a call from someone saying the firm that did my cavity wall insulation had folded and they wanted to check if I was having any issues. Since the insulation was put in like 40 years back and the guarantee was only for 10, it was pretty clear it was a dodgy scam. The lady was quite polite and said sorry for taking up my time.

I received a call from a lady based in Liverpool regarding the cavity wall insulation I had installed by N Power. She inquired whether I was experiencing any damp issues and suggested that I contact a different number for assistance. However, as I've never encountered any problems, her disappointment was palpable, and she promptly ended the call. I've since blocked her number. Just a word of caution-some of these callers are known to redirect you to other lines which could end up costing you more, possibly even premium rates.

Got a recorded voice saying no one is free to talk right now!!??!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the “cavity wall assessment team”. Told them my number’s registered on the no call list and that I’d be lodging a complaint. Obviously, these spammers don’t care.

Got a spam call from them. They clearly had no clue about the Data Protection Act or even my Right to be Forgotten as per the upcoming GDPR rules. Would steer clear of these lot.

I received a call from this number today, with a fellow on the line inquiring about my daughter, who doesn’t even live here! He mentioned something about cavity wall issues, claiming the firm that handled it had gone bust. He urged me to ring 0151 203 1141 if I encountered any damp problems. The chap introduced himself as Jack Jones and sounded quite scouse. When I clarified whether I was meant to call that number for any issues, he confirmed it, then abruptly hung up. I later called the 375 number back, only to be greeted by a recorded message about auto repair, assuring me that my call was important and I’d be connected with an adviser shortly. Very peculiar indeed!

The phone buzzed, and as I picked it up, the call abruptly ended. Curious, I tried dialling back, and they claimed to be from Water Treatment. I was then put on hold, waiting for the next available advisor. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere, another automated voice-sounding distinctly American-asked me to stick around. That was the last straw; I hung up straight away.

I’ve had these persistent chaps calling my parents' home, looking for my brother about some cavity wall insulation nonsense. The thing is, it's neither his residence nor does it even have cavity walls to speak of! Just a bunch of nuisance callers, if you ask me.

Got a call earlier today about cavity wall insulation, but I’m not really sure if it’s legit or just another sales pitch. Anyone else had these calls? Feels a bit dodgy to me.

I've been bombarded by this number constantly! They ring me and then just hang up as soon as I pick up. It's becoming a right pain, ringing both my home phone and my mobile a good half-dozen times daily. I can manage to block them on my mobile, but unfortunately, there's no way to stop them on my landline. It's just turning into such a bother!

Got another random call, I reckon! Picked up and all I heard was some gibberish before they hung up. Tried calling back and the voicemail said it was from an 'auto repair crew'. Bloody SCAMMERS if you ask me!

I had a call from someone claiming to be from Liverpool regarding an accident that I never experienced. I informed them quite clearly that there was no such incident on my end. They seemed convinced otherwise, which struck me as bizarre-it's not exactly something you’d misplace in your memory, is it? They assured me they'd update their files, yet the calls persist. It's as if they're waiting for me to have an accident just so they can get their story straight. In the end, I’ve had enough and blocked their number.

It's become quite the nuisance, really. I can't recall the last time I picked up for a number I didn't recognise. It happens every single day! What's the point, when no one bothers to leave a voicemail? So, I've taken matters into my own hands and simply blocked them. Cheers to peace and quiet!

I had a phone call from a chap with a strong Liverpool accent. He wanted me to verify my address due to some supposed claim regarding an accident I had - which I certainly didn't! I firmly told him I wasn’t sharing any personal information. He then got a bit cheeky with his responses. Honestly, he won't last long in this line of work with that attitude!

Got a call from this number earlier, claiming they were following up on some repairs on my car’s back left side after an accident. I told them I’d never had any accident or insurance claim and asked to speak to a supervisor. Someone called John Walker (doubt that’s his real name) answered and started with the same story. I told him I was going to report them to trading standards and the cops. That’s when he got rude. I’ve also sent an email to the police about it.

I've come across this firm claiming to be Chambers and Churchill, specialising in accident evaluations. A brief rummage through Companies House reveals they've only just recently been incorporated-hardly a long-standing establishment! Assuming this is indeed the same outfit, their primary operation is listed simply as "Call Centres", which raises a few eyebrows. Moreover, the names of the Director and Secretary appear to be identical, suggesting a rather curious situation. Quite puzzling, if you ask me!
