I received a curious phone call the other day claiming to be from a law firm. They addressed me as Mr X and mentioned that my car insurance provider had handed my information over to them because I apparently reported some damage to my vehicle to the police. I was utterly perplexed, as I had no idea what they were on about. I asked them which car they were referring to, and that’s when they stumbled, apologising and admitting there was a mix-up with their records. It was all a bit fishy, and I insisted they delete my number from their list before they abruptly hung up. Quite the strange experience, I must say!
