Avoid picking up and definitely don’t say your name. Got a call from some scammer with an Asian accent who started off by saying my name, pretending to be from my insurance company. It’s sketchy how these scammers get their hands on personal info like names and numbers - someone’s out there selling our details to these fraudsters, which is just not right.

Got a call from this number, and the bloke on the line said my name and kept asking if it was me. I just wanted to know who it was, but he kept repeating the question. Eventually, I said, "You called me, so who is this?" Then the caller hung up. It was an Asian guy speaking. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust calls from anyone not in your contacts - always be cautious with unknown numbers.

I probably fell for one of those "can you hear me" scams, I absentmindedly answered yes when they asked.quite silly of me now that I think about it.

This number rang me up a couple of times, some finance place apparently from Liverpool, going on about claiming PPI and all that nonsense. I told them straight, there’s no way I’m claiming anything and asked them to take me off their list. The woman got quite snotty after that, so I just ended the call. Blocked them now - don’t want any more of that rubbish. Glad to see the back of them!

a company based in liverpool rang me twice in a matter of hours saying i was entitled to some ppi refund. i told them straight up that i’m not owed anything and asked them to take my info off their list. the lady started getting all arrogant so i ended the call. blocked them now, so hopefully that’s the end of it!
