Most cold callers hang up pretty quick, like within 10 to 15 seconds, so you can tell it’s just some spam. Then I just block the number to avoid any more hassle. They actually asked for me by name and then just hung up on me! What a load of rubbish!

A bloke called Liam rang me, said he was from some pension firm and asked for me by my first name. Then he went into his usual spiel about pension advice. I’ve had that exact call before and told them to remove me from their list since I’m already on the TPS. As soon as I brought that up, he just hung up on me.
