I would highly recommend that anyone receiving these irritating calls gets in touch with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service. You can reach them on 0151 471 2377, or if you prefer, give their freephone number a ring at 0800 328 2941. For those who want to drop them an email, the address is [email protected]. If you're thinking of writing, send your correspondence to the PALS Office, V7, Kings Business Park, Prescot, L34 1PJ.

Whether they can actually assist is anyone’s guess, but perhaps if we persistently make a fuss like these calls do, there’s a chance something might finally get done.

I’m absolutely fed up with receiving calls from this number. We've had to install a call blocker to try and fend off these pesky calls, yet this particular number still manages to sneak through - albeit leaving nothing more than a handful of words in its voicemail. I'm fairly certain it’s linked to the NHS, and I've gathered it might be either Aintree Hospital or The Royal, but that’s the extent of my findings. I would recommend that anyone else tormented by these calls take the time to voice their grievances in writing. It might just help to put an end to this annoyance once and for all!

I’ve been receiving these calls every single evening lately, and I've reached out to various parties, including the Royal Liverpool appointments team. Strangely, no one seems to have a clue about them, especially given that they claim to originate from the NHS. The message I get feels like one of those automated ones you receive after missing a call, yet it seems to be live when I answer. To make matters worse, I’m also receiving messages that mirror what’s said during the actual call. The NHS really ought to sort this out; I recall some chatter about their data being breached not long ago, and now they’re brushing off these calls as if they have no connection whatsoever.
