11 yearsFor weeks now, this number keeps ringing our office daily looking for one of our directors who rarely even comes in. Every time I tried to offer to take a message, the woman on the line just said she’d call back instead. After about ten calls, both the number and her accent became pretty familiar to me. This morning, fed up with the constant ringing, I finally told her straight that it wasn’t very helpful to keep calling without leaving any message. I explained that since the director wasn’t usually around, leaving a message would make more sense. She then argued that she’d only called a few times and wasn’t a mind reader.
