Got a call last Monday, caller said they was from Barclays bank asking about transactions on my account. They told me if I didnt recognise any, to ring the number on the back of my debit card while they stayed on the line. Thankfully, I didn’t get tricked. I called Barclays and reported the number right away. Watch out for this one. Bit shocked I nearly went along with it since the call came from a local 0151 code.

I rang this company to sort out getting my bond back from an old landlord. I sent all my documents to a woman there, but then she went off sick and this bloke called Greg took over. I’ve been chasing them for ages, like 6-12 months, and they keep saying someone will call me back but nothing happens. Now I’ve found out it’s not even the company I thought I signed with. I’m totally lost about who I’m actually dealing with! Proper cowboys! 🤬

Called me knowing only part of my name, but when I said my surname she just stuttered and suddenly ended the call, pretty sure it was a scam.

They asked me to identify myself by name. Then they said I had filed a car accident claim within the past two years and wanted to confirm if that was right. Mentioned that info came from the medical board. Said they were closing the case so I wouldn’t get any more calls about it.

I didn't recognise that number at all. I picked up the phone but as soon as I answered, the person on the other end just cut off straight away. Another commenter mentioned the exact same thing happening to them a couple of times with this number. It’s a Liverpool area code, but I’ve no mates there and have no clue who it could be. Kinda pointless calling someone if you just hang up when they pick up!
