I had a small balance of £6.25 with Vanquis Bank, but due to a one-day delay in my payment - which I had previously informed them about a week in advance - they've hit me with a £50 charge! To add insult to injury, they've been bombarding me with endless calls on both my landline and mobile. I've decided to settle my card in full and shut down my account, and I would strongly recommend that others consider doing the same!

This number has been ringing me relentlessly every two hours since 09:11 earlier today, which just so happens to be a bank holiday. First, it called my landline, and then my mobile. Every time I answer, I'm met with silence before the line abruptly disconnects. I suspect it’s Vanquis, as I make regular payments to them, and my next one isn’t even due for another four weeks. Surely this can't be lawful behaviour, can it?

I'm absolutely fed up with Vanquis! Come January, I’m settling my card and won't be looking back. Had a fiery spat just yesterday due to their incessant phone calls, which could jeopardise my job. I've already settled this month's bill and won't have any other payments due until the month's end. They assured me they wouldn’t call unless there was a late payment or I went overdrawn. Yet here we are again, more calls today! It's utterly infuriating!

For the past three months, this number has been ringin me up, saying I owe them for two late payments. On Sunday afternoon, they called again askin for £66 to sort out my account. My card limit’s £150, but I’m showing a balance of £179, so why am I bein charged extra when I’m already over? I can’t even close the card without payin £205 to clear everything. I don’t understand why I’m meant to pay all that since I haven’t used the card since last January - it’s just too expensive. They keep callin, and sometimes I pick up, but most times I just let it ring out till it stops.

One time I picked up and they were asking for some person I don’t even know. I told them to stop calling but doubt that’ll do any good. About five days back I was on the phone with them and we set up a call for 11:30 this morning. Now it's 8:23 and they've already rang me again. I also sent them a letter through recorded delivery, but they claim they never received it. Pretty sure they're getting fed up with all my calls by now.
