Someone with a South Asian accent called me on a terrible connection, lots of noise in the background, claiming to be from BT Openreach. They said hackers were trying to get into my computer and offered to help me stop them. I haven't had anything to do with BT Openreach for ages, so I just played along for a bit. The bloke got annoyed and ended up saying I knew nothing about computers. It was pretty funny but also really frustrating to think these scammers are targeting older and more vulnerable folks like this.
