Got a call from a woman with a Yorkshire accent saying she was from Classic Football Pools. She asked if I fancied joining up and mentioned there’d be a Welcome Pack. Before that though, she wanted my bank details - said she didn’t need my full card number or the security code though. I don’t think she ever gave me her name. A few months back, I had a similar call from a bloke, and when I asked him to send info through the post first, his voice kind of faded, and he just hung up. Of course, never got anything in writing after that!

Got a call from a woman with a strong Yorkshire accent claiming to be from Classic Football Pools (apparently a merge of Vernon’s, Littlewoods and Zetter). She was trying to get me to join and kept asking for my bank info, said she didn’t need the full card number or security code though. I told her I’d want something written down first. She said I’d receive a welcome pack once I signed up, but urged me to do it quickly to get in for the weekend’s draw. She’s meant to ring me back around 10.
