I didn't bother to leave a message on the answering machine in the end.

I received a call regarding some 'financial compensation' supposedly reserved for personal injuries we reportedly sustained in an accident from two years back-quite absurd, really, as that isn't even the case!

Sorry to bring this up, chaps, but as someone in the data field, I must express my disdain for the fact that a sizable portion of their data originates from comparison websites. It's rather daft when applying for insurance that they inquire about any accidents, irrespective of fault, and we foolishly provide them with the specifics.

I've been getting many calls from Direct Assist, specifically from the number 016185000421. I attempted to be rude, but it had no effect. It would be great if I had a physical address where I could personally visit them!

Your personal information is not shared by the insurance company, rather Mr. Bullough acquires the details from a third party. They then encourage you to make a claim for discomfort, even though they already know that you were not hurt. Clearly, there is something suspicious about this company. I have reported them and they are currently being investigated, according to what I have been informed. I have blocked their number, and I recommend that everyone else do the same.

DIRECT ASSIST has reached a new low with their recent actions. Over the past two years, I have been constantly annoyed by unwanted calls from various "claims" companies in the North West regarding a non-accident. Much to my surprise, a representative from DIRECT ASSIST showed up at my door this morning for a 9:30 appointment, but quickly left in haste! It seems that due to my frustration and rudeness towards all callers, including responding with profanity to text messages, I may have inadvertently agreed to this appointment. However, DIRECT ASSIST can keep dreaming, as they are now under investigation by the Claims Management Regulation Office and Information Commission Office. In addition, I have a scheduled meeting with my MP, and I am fully determined to hold them accountable for their actions. They won't get away with it this time.

There is someone claiming to be from Direct Assist, but there's a possibility that they may not really be affiliated with them. They are trying to convince me to make a fraudulent claim for an injury that occurred due to the actions of the police. I will be reporting this incident to both the police and http://actionfraud.org.uk.
It is important not to trust these individuals as they have been proven to be dishonest. They have provided conflicting information, with one caller claiming that my insurance company shared my details with them, while another stated that they were from the Police Insurers, who are the third-party insurers.

Moreover, these individuals use multiple mobile numbers and at times hide their caller ID.

I recently received a phone call from an individual who informed me about a fund that I could claim in relation to a car accident that took place 16 months ago. The collision did happen, but thankfully, no injuries were reported. This person claimed to have obtained my information from the third party insurance company involved in the incident. While some of the details they had matched up, they seemed unaware of the identity of the driver at the time.
The person on the call mentioned that they represented a company called CPA or something along those lines but refused to provide any further information. Personally, I am frustrated that my personal information has been sold to these individuals who seem incompetent.

In June 2012, I had an accident which was resolved and compensated by the end of November. However, since around March of this year, I have been receiving numerous unwanted calls offering compensation for the same accident. Despite informing them that I have already been compensated, they persistently call me about six times a day. It is frustrating because I have no control over my insurance company as it is a motability car insured with Royal Sun Alliance Motability. Regardless of how much I express my dissatisfaction, the calls continue incessantly. I have even resorted to using offensive language, but that doesn't deter them from calling. There should be a change in the law to prevent such persistent and unnecessary calls, as there is no legitimate reason for these callers to harass people or obtain personal details regarding the accident.

For immediate support, please contact the Director of Direct Assist, Mr. Darren Bullough. You can reach him on his Facebook account using the following link: https://www.facebook.com/darren.bullough. If you have any concerns or inquiries, feel free to get in touch with him. Kindly refrain from engaging in unsolicited cold calling as a means of communication. I have noticed that most companies who call me tend to deny any wrongdoing, instead blaming other companies that call from withheld numbers, among other things. It wouldn't surprise me if these companies in the North West are collaborating and sharing contacts, given that the calls often occur in groups of three or four.

I recently received a text saying...

Missed Call Alert: This individual/number tried to reach you at (time) on (date), but did not leave a message.

Oddly enough, my missed call notifications don't show up in that format, and there are no missed calls recorded!

Seems like a scam to trick people into making a call.

I refused to be fooled and will not be giving them a ring!

I'm relieved that I took a few minutes to search online and discover this helpful website that explains the whole situation.

I received a call from this number recently, but it only rang twice before stopping. Obviously, it's related to an accident I had a year ago, which has already been dealt with. I'm also constantly bothered by several other accident claim companies, whom Direct Line shared my personal information with. Because of this annoyance and their unreasonable renewal price, I've decided to get rid of Direct Line.

This helpline number provides direct assistance for handling no-win insurance claims. They can be quite persistent in urging you to file a claim for a car accident that you may have experienced. Aviva provided them with my contact information.

I received 2 to 3 calls in the past week, but every time I answered, there was no one on the other end of the line. I could hear some background conversation, but then the call abruptly ended. It's quite strange and leaves me perplexed.

I received a call from the same number as well. The person on the line mentioned a collision that occurred roughly 9 months ago, when we accidentally backed into someone who was parked in a car park. Clearly, it was our fault. He claimed that we were entitled to compensation of £1800 each. However, since neither of us sustained any injuries, and there was no damage to our vehicle, it doesn't make any sense for us to be eligible for any kind of payout. It seemed like his main goal was to obtain our bank details, but there was absolutely no chance of that happening. I promptly told him that he wasn't being logical and ended the call.

Indeed, they are quite persistent. They have been bothering me for more than a year now. Despite it being just an accident we were both involved in, they don't seem to comprehend that. They actively insist on filling out the forms without any inquiries, claiming it's our due compensation. It's rather dubious, to be honest. Interestingly enough, I just received a message from them while typing this out.

I picked up the ringing phone and was greeted by a chorus of voices, giving me the impression that I had connected with a call centre. However, it seemed that the caller either needed to speak to a different number or was specifically seeking a female voice rather than a male one.

Today, I received a call from an unknown number, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to answer it in time. Due to the persistent nature of random calls that I've been receiving throughout the day, I decided to look up the number on Google. To my relief, I discovered that I'm not the only person experiencing this issue.

I had a similar experience as mentioned before. I made an attempt to call back, but a message informed me that the number I dialed was not in service. I contacted the operator to inquire about the situation. The operator explained that the number did not belong to their network. However, they connected me with another operator who claimed to work for someone called Erik in Bath, but his accent suggested that English may not be his first language. None of this seemed to make any sense or appear trustworthy, so I have decided to forget about it entirely. Thank you very much for your help anyway :)
