I received two calls today from a debt recovery firm known as Lombard Legal.

Lombard Legal appears to be nothing more than a complete hoax! They’ve taken my cash along with my details and failed to keep me updated as they promised. It’s been frustrating trying to get a response to my emails, as their so-called London office seems to be merely an answering service. Every time I ring, I’m met with the same response - “nobody’s available at the moment” - and they assure me someone will ring back, which they never do. This ordeal has dragged on since July of last year. I strongly urge anyone considering this company to heed my warning and the countless others who share their unfortunate experiences here. If you see positive comments, please be wary - they could well be planted by the company itself. Is anyone aware if the fraud squad, VAT fraud investigators, or trading standards are looking into this shambles? If you have any information, I implore you to share it here, so these con artists don’t manage to sidestep accountability or waste anyone else's time and money. For those still in doubt, take a gander at their website; it may look all fancy, but there’s no address or direct contact number listed - just a call centre staffed by different women who obviously aren’t based in London. I had dealings with someone named M. Pearson and another chap, Geoff Wood, who was allegedly one of their representatives that came to see me. I passed a cheque to him, yet he, too, has stopped answering his phone. - Caller: Lombard Legal.
