Then about a week later, they rang again from 0121 2852130, this time asking about a Legal & General policy. I decided to check with Legal & General themselves to see if it really was them contacting me and why. Turns out, it wasn’t from them at all, so I reported it as a scam. They told me their usual practice is to reach out to customers first by letter or email before calling, rather than just cold calling like this.
