I’ve put this number on my block list but still keep getting calls from different numbers linked to it, like 020 3289 2796. When I block those as well, they just ring me from another one. It’s really frustrating.

They’ve rung me a few times but I’ve never picked up.

When I picked up the call, there was no response from the other end. After a few seconds, an automated voice bid me farewell and the call ended. I was under the impression that these kinds of automated systems were against the law.

These awful people rang my elderly parents today, saying someone had been in an accident - even gave their address. Naturally, it upset the old folks loads, and they started phoning family to make sure everyone was alright. From now on, I’m gonna make it my mission to ring them whenever I can just to mess with them.

Got a call from this number earlier. Normally I've got my answerphone on, but I was waiting for a mate to ring so I picked up. At first, there was silence, then some woman’s voice that sounded totally robotic said ‘bye’. I'm on the TPS list, but it clearly doesn’t stop these annoying calls. Definitely not picking up if they ring again.

Some bloke called Robin rang me saying he was from the National Accident Helpline. He claimed I was due compensation for a car crash I supposedly had. But I’ve never been in a car accident. I asked him to give me my car’s registration number and he just made one up. Then I asked where his office was exactly, and he said Liverpool. I told him that’s just a city, not a full address, so I asked again. After that, he just hung up. Looks like a scam trying to get my bank info or maybe just gathering details to sell to marketing firms. Glad I managed to waste his time instead.

I received a phone call from someone on this number. They identified themselves as a representative from National Accident Helpline and stated that I was entitled to compensation for a car accident. (However, I haven't been involved in any car accidents.)

To verify their legitimacy, I asked them for the registration number of my car. Surprisingly, they provided me with a completely fabricated number. Sensing something fishy, I then requested their complete address, and abruptly they ended the call.

It is evident that this is either a scam or an attempt to gather personal information for marketing purposes.

On 16.1.16 around 9:59am, I got a call saying "Hello, this is the UK accident centre." They went on with "I'm ringing about a recent accident you had" and "There was some slight damage to your vehicle." Then they asked, "Was anyone injured in the accident?" I just hung up. I haven’t driven my car for ages, definitely no crashes. Weirdly, the caller ID first showed 'International,' but when I checked with 1471, the number 01513242600 is from Liverpool.

Got a call this morning at about 9.30 from some bloke named Robin. He was really pushy and kept talking over me. I told him my number’s on the TPS list. He was going on about some accident I never had. Makes me curious how they even find our numbers in the first place.

Just got a phone call on our new landline since we’ve recently moved. The caller claimed they’d been trying to reach us because we’d supposedly been in an accident within the past couple of years (we haven’t even told anyone about this number yet!). They got pretty rude when I asked for more info like dates or car registration. Honestly, I’d say always check their details before giving anything away; if you haven’t had any accidents, just hang up straight away.

01513242600 rang me but I didn’t know the number (we’re unlisted, signed up with the TPS and only share our number with close family) so I just let it ring through to voicemail. There was no message left. I looked it up on this site to see what it might be. I’ve now blocked the number so it can’t call again. This site is brilliant and really helps out.

Beware of scammers hailing from Liverpool, going by the name Legal Direct. These deceitful individuals employ the technique of randomly dialling numbers in order to confirm their existence. Subsequently, they will make attempts to extort money from their targets by falsely claiming that they have been involved in an accident. It is highly advisable to report these criminals to the police rather than resorting to any form of violent retaliation.

Some bloke said he was ringing from the national accident helpline. I asked who he wanted to speak to and he said they "don't have a name, just the number". When I asked where they got the number from, he said "the road safety authority". I told him there's no such thing as the road safety authority in the UK and told him to take my number off his list as we're on the TPS.

The person on the phone claimed that someone in the home had an accident! I told them no one did, then asked how they managed to get my number since it’s ex-directory. The man on the other end just hung up. I reckon these are those so-called ‘ambulance chasers’ coz my hubby was moved between hospitals with sirens blaring as he was very unwell.

This is the main number for our business, but someone unknown is using it without permission as a caller ID to make annoying telemarketing calls. Because of all the complaints from people understandably upset or worried, we had to disconnect the line. Sadly, there’s not much we can do about this kind of scam, known as "spoofing", but we have reported it to Action Fraud. If you want to report a nuisance call yourself, Ofcom (###) has a website for reporting. To get in touch with us about this matter, please email nuisancecalls@bgandc{###]. Thanks for understanding.

Some bloke called me claiming to be from an accident helpline, asking about a car crash I supposedly had.
