Got a call from some scammer asking for cash, said it was for buying spicy curry with chips and rice. Weirdest excuse ever.

I called back since I’m based in Liverpool, and a young sounding Asian woman answered, asking about boilers and mentioning I might get some government cash. Been 50 years and the government’s never given me nowt. I told her I rent from a private landlord and that was that. She wasn’t pushy at all, quite a nice young lady actually, enjoyed having a little chat.
