Got a robotic call telling me I had a fraud case open against me, and if I didn’t hit 1 right then, they’d send a warrant to arrest me. Total panic at first but turned out to be fake.

This number called me but I didn’t pick up cause I don’t usually answer anyone I don’t know. Luckily, I had caller ID so I could see who it was. After checking the comments, it seems like it was just another scam call. Glad I didn’t bother answering!

Got a voicemail from someone claiming to be HMIC, saying if I didn’t call back, I’d have a warrant out and be arrested soon. Never done any wrong, so it felt like a nasty, threatening joke. Definitely going to report it to the police.

I got a call on my work phone from someone claiming to be HMRC, but when I asked why they were calling a number not linked to anyone specific, this foreign-sounding woman just cut me off. Honestly, HMRC wouldn’t ever call you like that.

Got a call from some cold caller, and as soon as I stayed quiet, they just ended the call.

Got a call from 01513194989, some bloke with a strange foreign accent. He kept messing up my name and mentioned something to do with an accident. I cut the call short and blocked the number straight away.

I just got a call from some bloke saying he was from the national accident claim line, trying to talk about a crash I supposedly had that wasn’t my fault. Thing is, I haven’t been in any accident at all. Told him no thanks and hung up.

I reckon National Claims Line calls kick off mostly when you’ve posted a car ad on Gumtree, especially if it’s got any kind of category damage history. Even if that damage happened years ago and was under a different owner, they still ring non stop! What’s worse, they’re always switching their phone numbers and it looks like they swap the ad’s contact details about between them too. Proper frustrating.
