The line was absolutely dreadful! I could hardly make out a word the chap was saying. He stammered on about me supposedly being part of a car crash that definitely wasn’t my doing. I can assure you, I wasn’t in any such incident at all!

I picked up the phone and after just a few moments of silence, a woman started talking to me on a really bad connection. She said I had been in an accident that wasn’t my fault. I told her that wasn’t true, and she just ended the call straight away.
