Got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC, threatening me with legal action over supposed tax issues. They told me to press 1, then I ended up speaking to someone who was really pushy and rude. I've already flagged this number to HMRC’s security team and plan to alert the police too.

I got a call from an automated voice claiming to be HMRC, telling me to press 1 to speak with an officer. They said if I didn’t comply, the police would arrest me within 4 hours for unpaid taxes. When I pressed the button, a guy answered pretending to be from HMRC. He kept pushing me, saying I had to pay £1000 or else I’d be sued. Luckily, a workmate nearby recognised it as a scam and told me to hang up, which I did. I made sure to report the whole thing to the real HMRC afterwards.
