But something felt off because the phone number they gave in their email with the right debt amount is not the same as in the text I got - it’s just one digit different at the end. When I first got the call, my phone even flagged it as possible spam. On top of that, the money they wanted didn’t match what I actually owe. Definitely seems dodgy to me.

So I got a call from Ardent Security or some debt collection agency saying I owe money to Vodafone. Thing is, I’ve never had a Vodafone contract in my life! I told the lady this, and she said I’d have to answer some security questions to sort it out. I told her there was no way I could as I don’t have an account with them, and then she just hung up on me! Sounds like a total scam to me, and I’ve blocked the number now.

Scam alert! So, I got a message from some dodgy number, my phone flagged it as suspicious so I blocked it straight away. Then they rang me up, trying to sound all serious. When I asked what company they were from, she mumbled something like "ardent" - yeah, right. Then she admits they're debt collectors! I told her she was ringing about a Miss X, but funnily enough, I said she’d died. Totally made that up since it’s actually me lol. She didn’t ask for any other info but said she’d update her records with just my name. Proper clown move! So now apparently, I’m officially six feet under hahaha. Safe to say I’m having a laugh with these scammers!

This bloke, Steven or summat, keeps texting and sending me letters about some Vodafone debt. I just signed up for a contract with Vodafone and thought the message was legit. The letter said if I didn’t cough up £100 in 5 days, they’d add it to my bill, so I paid it. Now they won’t stop blowing up my phone. Proper annoying!

I’ve got about 7 messages from these lot over just a couple of months. The first couple were about some email they supposedly sent me about my account, then all the others are just telling me to ring them. My plan is a £10 a month pin-only contract, taken by direct debit, and I barely even use the SIM or the number, so there’s no way I owe them anything. Yet they keep texting me on a totally different number that’s got zero link to them. This is proper fishy if you ask me.

In just under two months, I got 7 texts from these guys. The first couple mentioned they'd emailed about my account, then all the others kept telling me to ring them. I've got a £10 a month pay-as-you-go sim on direct debit, which I hardly ever use, so there’s no chance of me owing them anything. What’s a bit odd is they seem to know your name already, which is a bit concerning. I’m also on the TPS but it doesn’t seem to stop these calls. Will wait and see if they ring again. I rang Vodafone to check, using the info Ardent provided, but they wouldn’t close the account since I couldn’t verify the security details. So now, I’m stuck paying for an account that isn’t even mine. Someone’s clearly stolen my details and I’m the one footing the bill. It’s totally ridiculous.

Been hassled by Ardent over some Vodafone “debt”. When I told them to stop, they sent a message apologising for losing me and even gave a PAC code to switch my number. Thing is, if you start using a new number, they still bill you for the old one without you noticing. Before you know it, you’ve built up a “debt”. Then Ardent bombards you with texts, calls, and messages threatening action until you cave and pay up. Proper frustrating.

This is Ardent from Vodafone about some debt. I've already sorted the debt but they keep pestering me with calls, texts and emails starting as early as 8 in the morning. The debt and the amount were legit, it's just how badly they manage everything thats the issue.

They called me this morning looking for my son. When I asked who was on the line, they said Ardent. They wanted me to get him to ring them back, so I asked what it was about. They said it was personal, so I just said no, especially as he doesn't even live here anymore. I decided to check the number online and found loads of info about it. Turns out someone opened a dodgy account with Vodafone in his name. It's all sorted now - account closed and Vodafone is checking it out for fraud - but I reckon this call was connected to that.

This number called me and when I picked up, a woman asked if I was "First Name, Surname" (how she knew my name beats me). I said yes. She said she was from Ardent about something to do with my Vodafone. I asked what it was about. Then she said she needed to verify my address for security reasons. I told her I wasn’t comfortable with that and asked her what exactly she wanted. She kept saying she needed to confirm security first before telling me anything. In the end, I said I didn’t want to continue and if Vodafone needed me, they could phone me instead. She just hung up after that.

So, on 22/7/19 I got a message from these lot, but no phone number was shown, just the name Ardent. It said something like: Dear LIBERTY LAID ASEQUIA, please ring us about your Vodafone account on 0151 305 4853 and mention ref 4993130. Then the next day, 23/7/19, my mobile rang but I didn’t answer. Later, I got a voicemail and another text. The voicemail had a man’s voice saying “this is an important message for...” then a woman’s voice that sounded fake saying “Liberty ladies equia”. The man came back again, asking me to call Ardent on 01513054853 quoting that same ref number, plus gave their office hours. I’ve no clue who Liberty ladies equia is, and I don’t hold any Vodafone account personally - my mobile is with Talktalk, although they use Vodafone’s network, so maybe my number’s been compromised somehow via them? Either way, I haven’t called back as this just feels like a dodgy scam.
