Got a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, said my Internet was being tampered with. Then they asked if I had a phone and what brand it was. I ended the call straight away and rang Virgin Media myself. They told me it definitely wasn’t them and there was no issue with my Internet. Apparently, it’s a scam. Virgin Media said they only get in touch by email or letter if there’s a problem, never by phone.

Got a call on my Edinburgh landline from 01512938778. Didn’t pick up and then just heard a click before I ended the call. Being a pensioner, this kind of thing is the last thing I need. Also had a call from 01753424402 just yesterday. Feels like these scam calls might be kicking off again like they did last year. It’s really annoying and could be risky too.
