I received a query about whether I held any cryptocurrency and if I'd be interested in a follow-up call to chat about it. Can't quite tell if it's a dodgy setup or not, but that’s what the woman mentioned.

I had a call from her regarding some nonsense about cryptocurrency and how I could supposedly earn a pretty penny. I told her it sounded intriguing, but first, I'd need the name of the person who passed on my details. Instead of answering, she launched into a spiel about the potential profits. I reiterated my request, and she then claimed to be just an intermediary with a list to work from. I said fair enough, but could she please tell me who provided that list? And just like that, she cut off the line! I tried to ring her back only to be met with a message saying the number wasn't in service. What a surprise! I suspect this is some dodgy con artist from Eastern Europe. It’s a pity, as I wouldn’t mind a bit of crypto cash! She can shove her offer right where it belongs!
