I've heard this kind of thing before and just hung up straight away. This time, I decided to press 1 out of curiosity, but after that, you're stuck waiting on hold forever and no one ever picks up. I was interested to see if they'd try to get my bank info since they say they're from HMRC, which worries me because some folks might actually fall for it and hand over their details.
