Last night, I got a few calls from this number and others like it. I seriously doubt any legit company in the UK would be ringing so late. Pretty sure it’s just a scam call, probably from India or somewhere similar.

It’s really annoying how these spam calls keep coming through no matter what. Blocking one number doesn’t work at all since they just switch to another fake one every single time. Absolute waste of time!

Sounds like Initial Advice Limited is behind these calls. They must be getting my number through Commsave Credit Union or Unite Union whenever I apply for a loan there. Since November 2011, me and my mum have been bombarded on two landlines and two mobiles, plus my housemates have been getting calls since March 2019 and August 2020. It’s all connected because Commsave, Need More Time, and Wimbledon Guild of Social Work have the same Board of Directors. Initial Advice Limited is basically a social work company offering money management services - they even had the nerve to try and handle my upcoming ill health pension and lump sum, which I turned down politely before telling the caller off after 10 minutes. He’s called me from all sorts of places, like Ahmedabad, Sri Lanka, Manchester, Wales, Liverpool - basically worldwide. I took it up with Social Work England in August 2019 and as a result, one board member from Commsave/Wimbledon Guild/Need More Time got suspended until 10th Feb 2022, and another got interim practice conditions. But the calls keep coming back every time they try to fight these penalties in tribunal hearings.
