Some bloke kept ringing my mum loads, pretending to be from some PPI refund firm. He had all her details - full name, address, even the postcode. He said she’d got a loan with Lloyds and then started asking for her date of birth and other personal stuff, supposedly to get her money back. The guy was really pushy and quite nasty about it! I reckon older people might easily get tricked by this sort of thing.

So this number rang my phone earlier and when I didn’t pick up, they called again. This time, my husband got it and they asked to speak to me. When he asked what it was about, the caller started swearing at him - not once but twice! My husband wasn’t having any of it and gave it right back before hanging up. Such rude behaviour!

Got calls back to back, like three times in under five minutes. Honestly, I reckon these cold calls need to stop for good.

So I got a call once from someone named Alan, then later Rick phoned me too, both talking about some PPI refund. They said they were from this PPI refund UK company or something similar. The weird thing is, neither of them could actually say which bank was supposed to give me the money! Felt fishy to me.

This bloke kept ringing me, asking if I was "Mrs #AHHHHAF". I told him yeah, even tho I'm a bloke. Then he went on about a loan I supposedly took out for £5k and had overpaid £3k, which they were gonna give back. He asked which bank it was with, so I said Cavendish-Mercantile (made it up). He didn’t buy it and said I got the loan through Lloyds instead. I don't even have an account with Lloyds! He wanted me to grab pen and paper, I was about to do it, but then he just left the phone hanging. Honestly, found the whole thing a bit daft.

On the 11th of May, at around 4:50 in the afternoon, there was a call to my house but we just let it ring out.

Got two calls from them today. The first bloke said I was due £3300 back for a loan I supposedly overpaid, claimed it was from Barclays. I told him I’ve never had a loan with Barclays and ended the call. A few hours later, a different guy rings saying Lloyds is refunding me £2900 for overpaying a loan and that they’d send a cheque on Monday. I asked why they needed to call then, and just hung up again. If they phone again, I’ll just tell them to piss off. Watch out for these lot.

Yeah, got the usual here too. They messed up my surname right away before jumping into that PPI nonsense. Just a load of dodgy scammers. TPS - seriously, have a look at this site and sort these problems out already.

This number keeps popping up on my missed calls all day, but when I pick up in the evening, there's just silence and then they hang up. Never anyone actually speaking.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was Sean. He told me I was entitled to £3000 because of mis-sold financial products. When I asked which bank I’d supposedly borrowed from, he rattled off loads of bank names. Eventually, he said Lloyds, which is actually my bank, and as soon as I mentioned that, he grabbed onto it and claimed I’d borrowed from them back in 2004. He said they’d send me a letter with all the details about the money I was owed. When I asked for his contact number to ring him back, he just hung up on me.

Got two calls in two days from some bloke abroad asking for a Mrs Davidson. The number seems local at first glance, starting with 0151, but it's sneaky 'cause it's missing a digit or something. Proper clever trick if you ask me.

They told me their name was ppi reclaim but wouldnt share their phone number then just suddenly ended the call.

I called about a PPI claim and they just wouldn’t tell me their company’s name or give a phone number. When I asked, they said it’s not something I need to know. Bit dodgy if you ask me!
